Dry, desolate, everything dying as I watch the last breath of my lifemate hiss through his dry and bleeding lips. Blood pooling around him still seeping out of the many wounds marring his body. The last gasp is the hardest, it seems as though everything within me is screaming, begging, wondering why the world has to do this to me, stealing away the only thing that I've ever held close to the blackened witherd shell that I like to call a soul.
